Feeling festive and spooky!

It's FRIDAY! {Yee Haw!} It's OCTOBER! {Eeek!} The nights are chilly but days are sparkly and magical: Autumn is, officially, upon us! And, just in case you're taking notes: this is my favorite season of the year! I love the look, the smell and the possibility of this season... The changing of the light, the glow of the moon....

Don't be A F R A I D!

This... is... a F A N T A S T I C swatch of color, if ever there was one! ANOTHER fabulous choice from the gals at the ol' THROWDOWN! I am mighty partial to these gals and this PARTICULAR challenge! Just a few short weeks ago, I was EXTREMELY fortunate to win their sponsor's gift: a $20.oo gift certificate to Simon Says Scrap! HOLY MOLY! That was so awesome, and I regret not acknowledging their generosity, previously! I know I was just a random winner, but STILL! It's just good ju-ju! So THANK YOU! I can't wait to redeem that baby! Yipee! But, let's not stop with the gratitude just yet: just a few days ago, I was awarded with MORE good fortune.... Tammy chose MY card and lil' old me as the featured stamper! Wowee! I am soooooooooooo appreciative of that lovely nod, and I just want to share that, I, for one (hee hee), think the THROWDOWN is an extremely fun challenge site {*wink*wink* ~ of course I do!} and if you haven't played or it's been a while: giddy up! {That's all I'm sayin'..}

This is what I made with their groovy colors! It's a ... little something... (?) It's kind of a card or a decorative table topper, a gift card holder: YOU DECIDE! I think it's a pretty versatile project!

I put a notch in the back, so the card can fold flat: see! And here is a close up of the notch I made!

Here's the piece without anything in its pocket... I ENJOYED working with these luscious colors, if you hadn't guessed! So Halloweeny-ish! I LOVED playing with the Rich Razzleberry and took the opportunity to use some liquid ink, direct from the re-inker, onto glossy card stock and did some brayering, but after review, went for sponging and smearing over a mask for the Haunted House. I stamped that first, in "stone" Staz On, which looks to be Staz On's version of Basic Grey... Then I created a mask with a large post it, so I could get busy with the "Razzleberry Sky" (Hey! THAT sounds like a song!)

Here's a close up of the Haunted House, which I believe, maintained it's ghoulish glow, thanks to the masking and the contrast with the sky...

I dabbed at the graveyard in the foreground with some "Going Grey" re-inker and an aqua brush but left a lot of white space around! I love the haunted look of this, ALREADY, haunted looking stamp! Such fun! I SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO dearly love this sport: the happy sport of color, and paper, and ink and glue, and ribbon and HAPPINESS SEEKING though crafting, and all-o-u-fine-bloggy friends! Eeeeeek! I'm having a ball making cards and sharing with ya'll! Tomorrow is the big, world wide card making day {like you didn't know! Lol!} Let's make something together! Yipee! Can't wait!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm DELIGHTED that you did!

Ohhhh you're creepy and crawly! I LOVE your halloween magic! It's always so misty, cool, and harvest moon-y! YOu know what I mean right? This project is quite a piece! I love your razzle-sky and masked haunted house...oh! And the backdrop panel reminded me of frankenstein...can you see it? black freaked out hair, green face, razzle clothes? OK, maybe I've been sipping too much Pumpkin spice latte but I see ol Frankie! Have a great night my Halloween QUEEN!

speaking of contagious! only read this with your mask on and spray lysol afterwards, I am one sickly friend. I guess I wore myself out with all that Caardvarks goodness.
Nuff about me, this is suppose to be about YOU and that RAZ-ama-taZ card you got going there. I have a litte experience with Halloweenie things that go bump and such... a little bit. And I claim this to be DANG-NER PERFECT! Why if this was anymore ghoulish it would just explode or implode...or something like that. Them ladies at Throwdown got it going on with color combos I tell you what!
I am going to put vicks on my chest and warm woolie socks on now and hunkerdown in my quilt. Nuff excitement for one little ole sniffly blogger. Oz

Well sweet girl that is another challenge totally rocked by your good self! I just love your spooky ol' house - totally Halloween-esque and totally perfect! I have all sorts of fun planned for Halloween at the library where I work, including a spooky book of poems and spells made in the shape of a haunted house!!!! I hadn't thought to include a graveyard until I saw your card! So yet again its thanks to you my sweet for the fabulous fun and inspiration! Jo x

I've always loved Fall (I mean, it's my Birth moth and all), but it gets so much more exciting to share it with all these crafters who love it as well. We get to revel in it everyday by looking through these projects!

You're amazing, that's for sure!
