VERY Vintage love going on....

For my latest JUGS post, please click here!

Can you feel it? Can you feel the SWOON-factor! It's delightful!

And I really AM, thinking of you! GIRLFRIENDS! Yipeeeee!
I'm doin' the major dog-paddle to keep up with it all this week,
but the pleasure of working with the latest stamps from Wplus9
is keepin' it FUN and, well INTOXICATING! With possibility
in EVERY choice, every stamp, every swatch of twine... Joy with
a capital "J"! - or should I say, WONDERFUL with a capital "W"...

Yes, my friends - the magic of AMAZING stamps IS intoxicating for lil' me!
LOOK at the detail in this GORGEOUS frame - YEOWZA! But, wait, there's
MORE! Do you see, do you see, do you SEE those flowers? Yup, more masking!
I still have a bunch of masks I made from the background work on my last card.
There they were beckoning me - so I stamped the small flowers, masked, and
THEN stamped the filigree frame, in the same red ink - OOOoooooowwwww!
Look ma, I'm stamping! I nearly made the WHOLE thing in the same red, which
is epic, for color THEORY obsessed me... But I couldn't QUITE go the distance:
I had to stamp the sentiment in just a skosh darker red. Doh. I nearly did it.

But, no worries - I HAD fun ANYWAY! I used the Label Layers 3 die
to create a window to my sentiment, and then created sort of a faux
envelope so that there would be some cast shadow to emphasize the
greeting. One MORE time, I made my little flower masks work, and
used them as a template to make for tracing, so that I could cut away
the flowers and leaves from the die shape to give my window just a
hint more interest - Owwwww, BABIES! Fun, fun stuff!

Speaking of FUN babies ... {LOL!} YOU can be sure the rest of the W9-ettes
have put the trimmings on THEIR creative spreads - CHECK for yourselves!

I love how you cut the frame from your card base and then put the stamped part behind it. This really looks like a fantastic set!

Eise, thanks for all the lovely comments on my blog. It's appreciated! As for your vintage card--wowza! I can see why you are on the design team--you are amazing. All that masking--I'm not so good at that yet. I'm in love with the WPlus9 stamps and have set aside some $ to buy some. Yippee. (Oh don't tell my husband!) lol
