Leftovers, ANYONE!?!

Every once in a while, I consider the growing bucket of LEFTOVERS that collect on my craft table... a button here, a stamped thing-a-ma-jig... a bit of ribbon, a heavenly strip of paper that makes my heart race... {I know, YOU know, what I'm talking about!!!}

I haven't had much time for "fresh" card craft this week, but here a little dilly that I basically just assembled from leftovers! {It works for DINNER! Why not card making!!! hee hee} It was fun and EASY and, thank goodness, I have a little something to share with you today... {!}

I've sent ONE child back to school, and I'm slashing things from my most LENGTHY to-do list {YEE HAW!} So here's one more share... forgive me - you've already seen a lot of this one fella, but I wanted to share the whole "herd" together!

Here's the completed, "Mac!"

And, finally{!}, his partner, "Tess!"

As of yesterday, they are officially, signed, sealed and delivered! {YEAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!} I hope to, ONE day, have a picture of them in the GORGEOUS, renovated home of their proud owner {she owns the REAL horses AND the paintings!}, but for now, I'll offer this picture I took quickly, before I delivered them -

The idea is that they'll hang within about 4 feet of each other, framed by their complimentary composition and background{*PHEW!*} ~ I'm DELIGHTED to have them finished and delivered!

So, thanks for indulging me in this FINAL share.... I'm hopeful that unloading these lovely creatures will free up my fine art gears to run a LOT faster!!! {Doh!}

Have a WONDERFUL day!

LOOK ~ Up!

That's my motto for the day!

Things are looking UP!

I've had to go underground for a few days to get some work complete for ANOTHER local fair, here in Sonoma County, Ca. However, I've been blown-away by the fun y'all are having with the Color Throwdown FESTIVAL! {Wahoooo!} And I'm hopeful that I can get a chance to catch up with the crazy action later in the weekend! The response to the super generous give-aways has been overwhelming! Thanks for all of the fun comments and the wonderful participation - I can't wait to inspect all of the creations you have made with the Color Throwdown Colors! If you are looking for my 100th challenge celebration post, please scroll down or click here!

In the meantime, I've been taking that romantic vision of local color, fairly seriously! I don't have time to share a card, but, instead, a little something I have submitted in the Fine Arts Category, of the Sonoma County Fair, under watercolor + VITICULTURE! {I think I'm falling in love ~ again ~ with where I live!}

And then in another Fine Art category, my personal FAVE ~ animal art!

Unfortunately, I'm not able to share pictures that really display my husband's participation in my fine art submissions ~ he MADE the frames, himself! And with NO time to spare, I'll say. I would, ordinarily have my PERSONAL, favorite framing goddess, Helene, of Helene's Framing and Scrapbook Store do this for me, but since I finished up these babies with only a few hours to spare, Husband had to pitch in. Although he is supportive of my art, the whole thing still mystifies him, quite a bit. It was nice to include him in the fun - MAYBE he'll even go to the fair to see how "we" did! hee hee

Anyhow, sweet friends ~ THANKS, for stopping by! I'll have A LOT more craft to share with you as the week progresses! It's always a delight to share and ENJOY what you have been up to ~ I'll see you SOON!

Prayers for Pee Wee....

...were SO appreciated!

He's feeling MUCH better and I can't tell you all how much your kind thoughts and dear prayers helped...

So here's PEE WEE, himself, to say thank you!

He stalks me when he knows I'm trying to snap a head shot, so take this with all the silliness you see here! I'm feeling very thankful and celebratory in the horsey department for today, so I'll also share something that I've been working on for a while now... it's nearly done!

This is Mac! {He and Pee Wee are good friends IRL...} Like I said, he's nearly done and I'm nearly ELATED! I've got a bit of tweaking to do on his considerable muscles, but I see the light! I REALLY DO! {Here comes a "Yee Haw!".....} Y-E-E H-A-W!

Speaking of ranch fun, here's my girly-girl dressed for Spring fun at our recent 4H general meeting where they had incentive to add some more Springiness to their evening's attire...

Can you see her bunny tail? {Subtle enough?} She wanted to blend, but still be participating! Mission accomplished!

Anywhoo, friends! Sorry to be void of card for this post, but I really appreciate the opportunity to share a little slice of some of my other artistic pursuits. I hope to have a card for you tomorrow, and the completion of Mac in another day or two and THEN there will be a REAL celebration! Wahooo!

Hope you had a terrific weekend!
