Thankful to play and share my first pup..pub.. {CARDS PUB ! Wahoo}

Oh, crackers! December ALREADY!?!

Totally in denial about the Christmas shopping thing... BUT THAT'S ANOTHER STORY! I'm here for the craft! Cards! Paper, ink, sparkley stuff! All of that! I'm alllll REVVED up over the 12 days of TIM... ur... Tags. Tags by Tim! Timmy, Tim, TIM ~ the Timinator! You know the guy! That man with all of that lovely crafty stuff... the king of DISTRESS {not STRESS! ~ hence, why we're not discussing CHRISTMAS shopping...} Anywhoo, no. I haven't cranked out a tag... but I really got my "Tim-On" to finish up THIS card for the Get Sketchy Challenge!

Hellooooooooooooo! Just a lil' shot to build anticipation! {HA HA! I know, WHAT?} I just love trying to tantalize with an artsy shot.... (But, please, don't grade me on this... ) Here's the Sketch from the Get Sketchy gals and HAVE YOU SEEN WHO THEY HAVE FOR THEIR GUEST DESIGNER this week? OMG! Well, go see and then come RIGHT BACK!

Okay.. It's DAWN McVEY! {Dontcha LOVE her!?! Adorable sample, and fab inspiration!}

What a scrumptious sketch! AND there was a bonus challenge to keep it Autumn-ish, so I had to quell my "snowmanitis" for the day and tap back into my inner HARVEST....

I have been sooooooooo loving all of my miniature leaf punches lately! Seriously! They were just the thing I needed to seal the deal on this card... But wait ~ here's a close up!

I used some card stock weight vellum, TIM HOLTZ alcohol ink {Yeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!} and had a lil' distressing party... Some latte, some caramel, a little gold... la la la! Let it dry, punched my leaves, folded for leaf veins and then dragged it trough a little Dusty Durango Dye Ink... Wahooo! Got my DISTRESS-on! Mmmmmmmm, yep... I did! I DID! Indeedy do!

Keeping with the Tim-theme... Distress STICKLES! Perfect Pearls! Yummmy stuff! I was glad to have an excuse to break out this paper, probably the MOST awesome paper set - EVER!!! From Stampin' Up! Yeah, BABY! So, it was a symphony of craft here in Scrapland today and some SUPER fun finishing touches, ala TIM! Whoopee! Oh, and one more THING... Now that it's officially DECEMBER... I can share this with you ~

My first ever PUBLISHED CARD! Ha ha ha! {And a little laughter from the PEANUT gallery - pay no attention to the LAUGHING PUPPY!} I just wanted to share a picture of MY CARD in CARDS{!} and needed a lil' "scale" for my photo... I beg your pardon for having to share, but folks "in the real world" don't always get it... This was a SUPER thrill!

Thank you, lovely friends ~ for sharing all of the fun, love, support and CREATIVE JU-JU! Y'all ROCK! I sooooooo appreciate you stopping by!

Just for YOU!

Here's a little FLORAL creation to brighten up your day: just for YOU! I was playing with this dazzling combination, inspired by Dawn McVey, in this week's colors from her Raspberry Suite #12 color challenge! She sure can pick 'em! I decided to get all floral with my new "Flower Fancy" stamp set from Stampin' Up! It's a gorgeous, two-step set that is extremely versatile and reminds me about one of my favorite reasons that I heart S/U! TWO step stampin': too cool!

See that big, hunky flower and leaves! That's only one of several other leaf and flower combinations in the complete set of 10 stamps: FABULOUS!

I finally remembered to use one of the great Cuttlebug embossing folders "I had to have!", HOUNDSTOOTH! Is that tactile or what! Check out the close up of that effect! Delicious! One of the best things about the texture is that is almost creates a half-tone effect in the celery/moss color, but it's just reflected light and cast shadow: MAGIC! That's what I call it!

Look at those leaves: doesn't Dawn find the most fabulous sources of color combos!?! WOW!

Anyway, darling friends-o-the blog land... here's one last shot of my card in it's entirety!

This IS "just for you!" Thanks SO very, very much for stopping by! Have a spectacular day!

Supplies:

C/S - Stampin' Up!
Stamps - Stampin' Up!
Ink - Stampin' Up!
Embossing folder (Houndstooth) - Cuttlebug
"just for you" sentiment - Quick Kutz
Ribbon - Stampin' Up!

"Believe" in "Precious" friends...!

Hello, precious friends! I'm really getting sassy this weekend and mixin' it up! First of all, yesterday I posted my MOST concise entry, to date. Which is saying something... TODAY, I'm ALSO going to attempt to be less superfluous than usual, as I post TWO cards for TWO different challenges IN-ONE-POST! Oh, my! Fasten your seat belts and "BELIEVE!" in the impossible:

Challenge #1 - 2 Sketches 4 you:

This card is for a {new to me} challenge for 2 sketches 4 you! It features lots of Teresa Collins' fabulous paper, a Tim Holtz Fragment and chunck-0-ideology, some transparency material from Stampin' Up, then run though the Sizzix Big Shot/ Stampin' Up! addition, sandwiched inside the argyle CuttleBug embossing folder and a whole lot of scrappy, card-making joy: yummy AND good for my tummy! (That whole "sandwich" recipe system for the Big Shot ALWAYS makes me hungry!)

Supplies:
C/S - Stampin' Up!
D/P - Teresa Collins
Fragment and Ideology Clock Spinner - Tim Holtz
Medium Weight Transparency Material - Stampin' Up!
Stamps - Stampin' Up!

Challenge #2 - Dawn McVey Color Challenge

Oh my goodness and smallness! Look at this dainty, precious little pup!

And here's another one: it's OATMEAL! My real life precious pup! (No pinky bling on this boy, however... He's a RANCH DOG!)

Some More Time Travel Lovin'!

Here's ANOTHER scrapbook layout to share from my recent retreat! Pretty simple, but man WHAT FUN to scrap simple! Dumped a lot of old "tackle" and enjoyed playing with the new! Tim Holtz's DISTRESS Stickles, to be specific in COTTON CANDY! Hello! Do you want to know how much I LOVES me cotton candy! Now there's a "Stickle" with that name! Goodness! This sport just gets more fun every time I play! Tee Hee

Yep! Those are my BABIES, again! I can smell that little tot's hair and I'm literally dizzy! Ain't life grand! Her first birthday was such fun and great photo opportunity, except for this tiny fact... Her light blue eyes were having no part of flash photography so I'm working with a lot of closed eye shots: but NEVER MIND THAT! We're talking about the opportunity to play with PINK! Everything PINK! No wonder I love cotton candy so much! Speaking of pink.. ever pondered how difficult it is to find the right pink? Do you have reams of pink that looked more "salmon" or hospital pink when you got it home! Stampin' Up!'s current "In-Color" assortment has the MOST outrageously perfect pink ever! For cards, you can buy it by the 8.5 X 11" pack, but for 12 X 12 you have to buy the assortment pack. Anywhoo, the year of the current "In Colors" ends June 30th, so if your hankering for some of the most delicious pink (Pink Pirouette) you ever scrapped with, YOU CAN E-MAIL ME if you have an order (I do not have a website with S/U! at this time, but I'm always happy to inspire and serve S/U! customer needs on a personal basis!) or contact your local, beloved S/U! demo! It's just the greatest!

The detail shot that makes my toes curl! Just look at all the pinky goodness! SEEEE the "Stickles".... Lord how they shine... (Can you hear George Strait!?!) The blush on YOUR page looks nothin' like mine..... hee hee

More fun detail, since my camera is doing much better with that than it used to... I accented the letters in the "LOVED" portion of the circle stamp by Autumn Leaves with with a sparkly "Gelly Roll" pen from Sakura that my lovely friend, Dana, the queen of all things glitter, turned me on to a few years back! It just gives the right accent for that delicious stamp! Have I mentioned how much I love SCRAPBOOKING! Wahoooooo! I hope you do too!

C/S - S/U!
D/P - Basic Grey & S/U!
Stamps - Autumn Leaves & S/U!
