It's a sticky situation...

...AND a sticky Sunday here in Northern California! We tried to keep cool and mercifully, "Scrapland" is the coolest place here at Rancho Durenberger, so we CRAFTED! Me and my mini-crafter, my sweet lil' girl child, STAMPED the day away! { It's fun to have a mini crafter around when you need one! } Anywhoo, this afternoon it just got plain sticky, so there were popsicles and bike riding and a few other interruptions... ha ha! But I finally have something to offer for the day's work! As I type this, I don't even know if it's too late for the first challenge I had on my mind, Scrapmaster's Paradise, Color Combo Challenge, ANOTHER new to me challenge and I have to share with you that the colors and the graphic are what suckered me in! Each time I saw this cute little color swatch, my toes curled with joy! It sounds like it ends, today, SUNDAY, but it didn't give a time and since it's STILL Sunday, I'm going to see if they'll still have me. Here's my color "work" combined with the composition from this week's Card Pattern's Sketch #27..

Ohhh, goodness, aren't those colors fetching! Makes me want to scrap my girl baby all over again! But for now, just a little friendship card!

Another great sketch to combine with fun colors... so why not!?! Hee HEEEEEE! Weeeee!

Gratuitous close up of the darling "Wings of Friendship" bird by Stampin' Up! He's in the new hostess sets, level 2: DAR-LING! I gave him EYES! {I always have to give eyes when the stamp just has emptiness... it's just a thing... an issue.. a bug-a-boo, if you will: my creatures must have eyes!}

Also included in this card was a lot of stamping on Very Vanilla and then paper piecing images for visual interst.... can't help myself! Anyway, friends, I'd best run off and link-up! Giddy up and link up, before I miss my window! Here's hoping your Sunday wasn't as sticky, but maybe as CRAFTY!

Oh, and let's not forget the wee-daughter's lovely work! She was REALLY enjoying this handsome collection from My Cute Stamps... so I SHARED! {Am I a nice mommy or WHAT!?!}

Bye-bye for now!

I am lovin' your birdie atop your flourish! It was a mighty hot one today (and I'm thankful for the A/C the minute we turn it on!). Sticky too (but, I have to remind myself that its much more pleasant than Upstate New York, from my younger years..........although....the bit o' stick today left me feelin' like I couldn't breathe...humidity and I are not the best of friends!)! LOVE, LOVE your wee bit's stamping!!! YAHOOO!!!!!! Tell her I am applauding from here (even if she doesn't know who I am......perhaps I should share some pics of kitties as my kidlets...well, one anyways, knows you from your doggies! :>:>)....she did FABULOUS!!!!! I asked my Princess what she wanted to be when she grew up.....she said and artist and then after a few moments, "I like to fly too!" I told her she could be an ARTIST AND a PILOT! For that, she got VERY excited!!! :> Glad you got a chance to de-stick enough to Play! :>

How delightful that your daughter loves to stamp with you! She's doing quite well from what I've seen too! Can't think of a better way to beat the heat than stay indoors and chill - which is what I'll be doing today while it swelters here in PA today.
I love that you added an eye to your bird! It really brought that sweet tweeter to life, and I love the colors you chose. Your stitching has inspired me to pull my poor neglected sewing machine from the darkness of my closet, and sew some cards! Have fun, stay cool!

Your fluffy bird is adorable atop his swirling branch. WHat a lovely card! Perfect for bringing happy mail to a friend! Loving your signature tone on tone inking plus scalloped edges to boot! Hi to mini stamper!

And it is HOT, dang hot! Hot enough to fry eggs...or something like that!

Very pretty Elise -- and how cool is is that mini-scrapper participated in the festivities. Sounds like a great day.

Sorry it took me so long to get here but neverless I am loving your card! It is the eye thing that sets you apart from others E...hehe I bet Mini Stamper would love to stamp even if it wasn't in the A/C. I would so love to have a small gifted to share with. My cat does love to get her paws inky and design a card or too. Usually ones I thought were already designed! But ya gotta love a true artists vision... grrr

Another great challenge achieved E, watch the stacking though. To many challenges on one card befuddles me...lol Linda aka Oz

Dear E,
Well, I see the Stampin' Up set went to good use. I just love your bird card and tell little C. that her stamping beats that of my grandsons.My S.U. pop-up Christmas tree die comes today with the little Sizzix ornaments. Can't wait to play with that plus the pre-order stamps for the little, clear windows. Feel free to escape your place and come visit me and the out of control Cambridge dawg.
Love,
